A lash lift procedure, also known as a lash perm, is a beauty treatment that enhances the appearance of natural eyelashes. It is a semi-permanent process that involves curling and lifting the lashes from the root to create a more lifted and curled look.

During the procedure, a technician applies a silicone shield or rod to the eyelid, which acts as a base to curl the lashes. The lashes are then carefully glued onto the shield or rod, and a lifting solution is applied to break down the bonds of the lashes, allowing them to be reshaped. After the desired curl is achieved, a setting solution is applied to lock in the new shape.

The lash lift procedure usually takes around 45 minutes to an hour to complete, and the results can last anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks, depending on individual lash growth cycle. It is important to note that lash lifts do not add volume or length to the lashes, but rather enhance their natural shape.

Yes, it is recommended to have a patch test before undergoing a lash lift procedure. A patch test involves applying a small amount of the lifting solution or adhesive used in the procedure onto a small patch of skin, usually behind the ear or on the inner arm. This is done to check for any allergic reactions or sensitivities to the products used.

Patch tests are important to ensure that you do not have any adverse reactions to the chemicals involved in the lash lift process. Allergic reactions can range from mild irritation to more severe symptoms such as redness, swelling, or itching. It is always better to be safe and have a patch test done, even if you have not experienced any allergies in the past.

Typically, patch tests are done at least 24 hours before the actual lash lift appointment. If you experience any negative reactions during or after the patch test, it is important to inform your technician or beauty professional before proceeding with the procedure.

Our lash lift and tint takes around 1h 30min. Without tinting it can take up to 1h 15min, as our gentle service take more time to process, however that ensures safe and smooth procedure. We care about health rather than saving time.

In general, a lash lift procedure should not be painful. However, some individuals may experience slight discomfort or a tingling sensation during the process. This is usually due to the use of the lifting and setting solutions, which may cause a temporary sensation on the eyelids.

It’s important to communicate with your technician during the procedure if you experience any discomfort, as they can adjust their technique or take steps to minimize any potential discomfort. They may also provide you with eye protection to shield your eyes from the solutions and prevent any stinging or irritation.

It’s worth noting that everyone’s pain tolerance is different, so what may be uncomfortable for one person may not be for another. If you have any concerns about potential pain or discomfort, it’s best to discuss them with your technician beforehand so they can address them and ensure you have a comfortable experience.

During a lash lift procedure, you can generally expect the following steps:

Preparation: LILUK lash lift technician will clean your lashes to ensure they are free of any makeup, oils, or residue. They may also apply an under-eye gel pad or tape to protect your lower lashes and skin.

Placement: LILUK lash technician will place a silicone rod or shield on your eyelid, as close to the lash line as possible. This will determine the shape and lift of your lashes.

Lifting solution: A lifting solution will be applied to your lashes, which helps to break down the bonds in the hair, allowing them to be molded into the desired shape.

Setting solution: After the lifting solution is removed, a setting solution will be applied to your lashes. This helps to lock in the new shape and restore the bonds in the hair.

Tinting (optional): If you choose to add a lash tint to your lash lift treatment, a tinting solution will be applied to darken and enhance the color of your lashes. This step is optional and can be skipped if desired.

Removal and conditioning: Once the setting solution and tint (if applicable) have been completed, your technician will carefully remove the rods or shields from your eyelids. They may also apply a nourishing lash conditioner or serum to help hydrate and protect your lashes.

The entire lash lift procedure typically takes around 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the technician and the specific products used. It’s important to follow any aftercare instructions provided by your technician to ensure the best results and longevity of your lash lift.

A keratin lash lift is a variation of the traditional lash lift procedure that incorporates a keratin treatment. Keratin is a protein naturally found in hair, skin, and nails, and it is known for its strengthening and conditioning properties.

During a keratin lash lift, a keratin-infused solution is applied to the lashes in addition to the lifting and setting solutions used in a regular lash lift. This helps to nourish and hydrate the lashes, promoting their health and strength.

Here are a few reasons why a keratin lash lift may be considered better than a regular lash lift:

Enhanced nourishment: The keratin treatment provides additional nourishment to the lashes, helping to improve their condition and overall health. This can be particularly beneficial for those with dry, brittle, or damaged lashes.

Improved lash texture: The keratin treatment can help to smooth the lash cuticles and make them softer and more manageable. This can result in lashes that appear healthier, shinier, and more natural.

Longer-lasting results: The keratin treatment can help to prolong the effects of the lash lift, as it strengthens and reinforces the lashes. This can lead to longer-lasting curl and lift, reducing the need for frequent touch-ups.

Reduced lash damage: The keratin treatment can help to protect the lashes from potential damage caused by the lifting and setting solutions. It adds a layer of nourishment and hydration, minimizing the risk of dryness or breakage.

It’s important to note that the effectiveness and benefits of a keratin lash lift may vary depending on the specific products used and the individual’s lash condition. It’s always recommended to consult with a professional technician who can assess your lashes and provide personalized recommendations based on your specific needs and goals.

The duration of a lash lift can vary from person to person due to individual factors such as lash growth cycle, aftercare, and daily habits. On average, a lash lift can last between 6 to 8 weeks.

It’s important to note that as your natural lashes naturally shed and grow, the lifted lashes will gradually return to their original state. This means that the curl and lift will gradually lessen over time.

To help maintain the results of your lash lift for as long as possible, consider the following tips:

Avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24-48 hours after the treatment.

Avoid rubbing or pulling on your lashes, as this can weaken or damage them.

Avoid using oil-based products on or around your lashes, as they can break down the lifting solution.

Be gentle when removing makeup around the eye area to prevent excessive rubbing or pulling on the lashes.

Consider using a lash conditioner or serum to keep your lashes hydrated and nourished.

Schedule regular touch-up appointments every 6-8 weeks to maintain the desired lift and curl.

By following these aftercare tips and being mindful of your lash health, you can help prolong the results of your lash lift and enjoy the lifted and curled lashes for an extended period of time.

When performed by a trained and experienced professional, a lash lift should not cause any damage to your natural eyelashes. However, it’s important to follow proper aftercare instructions and ensure that the procedure is done by a reputable technician.

Here are a few factors to consider to minimize the risk of damage during a lash lift:

Choose a skilled technician: Select a certified and experienced technician who has a good reputation. Look for reviews and recommendations to ensure you are in capable hands.

Follow aftercare instructions: Aftercare is crucial to maintaining the health and integrity of your lashes. Avoid rubbing or pulling on your lashes, and refrain from using oil-based products or getting them excessively wet in the first 24-48 hours after the treatment.

Avoid excessive treatments: It’s important not to overdo lash lifts. Giving your lashes time to recover between treatments is essential to prevent potential damage.

Assess your lash condition: If you have severely weakened or damaged lashes, it’s best to consult with a professional before getting a lash lift. They can evaluate your lashes and determine if the procedure is suitable for you or suggest alternative options.

Communicate with your technician: If you experience any discomfort or unusual reactions during the procedure, communicate with your technician immediately. They can adjust their technique or take necessary steps to ensure your comfort and safety.

Remember, everyone’s lashes are unique, and individual experiences may vary. By choosing a reputable technician and following proper aftercare, the risk of damage to your natural lashes during a lash lift can be minimized.

We recommend that a lash lift should be performed no more often than every 8 weeks to ensure the health and integrity of the natural lashes.

Explanation: Giving your lashes a minimum of 8 weeks between lash lift treatments allows for the complete growth cycle of your natural lashes. Each individual lash has a growth phase, a resting phase, and a shedding phase. By waiting at least 8 weeks, you allow any previously lifted lashes to naturally shed and new lashes to grow in their place.

Performing a lash lift more frequently than every 8 weeks can potentially weaken or damage the natural lashes. Over-processing the lashes with lifting solutions and curling techniques without giving them sufficient time to recover can lead to lash breakage, brittleness, and even loss.

By adhering to the 8-week guideline, you give your lashes ample time to regain their strength and maintain their health. It is crucial to prioritize the well-being of your natural lashes to achieve long-term, sustainable results and prevent potential damage.

To ensure the best possible outcome and maintain the desired lift, it is recommended to avoid wetting your lashes for at least 24-48 hours following the lash lift treatment. This includes avoiding activities such as swimming, saunas, steam rooms, and excessive sweating that may introduce moisture to the lashes.

After 24 hours you can wet your lashes without any worries.

Statement: It is recommended to avoid using mascara for the first 24 hours after a lash lift treatment to allow the lifted lashes to set and maintain their shape.

Explanation: After a lash lift, the lifted lashes need time to fully set and hold their new curl. Using mascara too soon after the treatment can potentially disrupt this process and cause the lashes to lose their desired lift.

Mascara can add weight and moisture to the lashes, which may weigh them down and compromise the effectiveness of the lash lift. Additionally, the act of applying and removing mascara can involve rubbing or pulling on the lashes, which can weaken or damage them, especially in the delicate post-treatment period.

Statement: To properly care for your lashes after a lash lift and tint treatment, it is important to follow these aftercare guidelines:

Avoid getting your lashes wet: For the first 24-48 hours after the treatment, refrain from getting your lashes wet. This includes avoiding activities such as swimming, saunas, steam rooms, and excessive sweating. Moisture can affect the bonding of the lifted lashes and the longevity of the tint.

Avoid rubbing or touching your lashes: It is crucial to resist the temptation to rub or touch your lashes, as this can cause the tint to smudge or the lifted lashes to lose their shape. Be gentle when cleansing your face and avoid vigorous rubbing in the eye area.

Be cautious with mascara: If you choose to apply mascara after a lash lift and tint, select a water-based, non-waterproof formula. Avoid using waterproof mascara, as it can be difficult to remove and may require excessive rubbing, which can damage the lashes. Mascara should be apply after 24h past the lash lift treatment.

Brush your lashes regularly: Use a clean spoolie or a lash brush to gently comb through your lashes daily. This helps to keep them separated and prevents any lashes from sticking together.

Schedule regular touch-ups: Lash lifts and tints typically last 6-8 weeks. To maintain the desired results, consider scheduling touch-up appointments within 6-8 week timeframe. Your technician can assess the condition of your lashes and determine the appropriate timing for touch-ups.

It is generally advised to avoid getting a lash lift treatment while pregnant due to potential risks and uncertainties associated with the procedure.

During pregnancy, hormonal changes can affect the health and condition of your natural lashes. Additionally, there is limited research available on the safety of lash lift treatments specifically during pregnancy. As a precautionary measure, it is recommended to avoid unnecessary chemical treatments, including lash lift procedures, to minimize any potential risks to the mother and baby.

Furthermore, the application of lifting solutions and other products used in the lash lift process may contain chemicals that could potentially be absorbed into the body. While the amount of chemicals absorbed during a lash lift treatment is likely minimal, it is best to err on the side of caution during pregnancy.

It is always advisable to consult with your healthcare provider or obstetrician before undergoing any cosmetic treatments during pregnancy. They can provide personalized advice based on your specific situation and medical history.

Prioritizing the health and well-being of both the mother and the baby is of utmost importance during pregnancy. Therefore, it is recommended to postpone lash lift treatments until after pregnancy and while breastfeeding to ensure the safety and peace of mind for both you and your baby.

Most people can have a lash lift, but there are some factors to consider before getting the treatment.

Overall lash health: It is important to have healthy and strong lashes before undergoing a lash lift. If your lashes are weak, damaged, or prone to breakage, it may not be suitable to undergo the treatment.

Length of natural lashes: Lash lifts work best on medium to long lashes. If your lashes are very short, the lifting effect may not be as noticeable or effective.

Eye conditions or infections: If you have any pre-existing eye conditions or infections, it is advisable to consult with an eye specialist or ophthalmologist before getting a lash lift.

It is always recommended to consult with a trained and experienced lash technician before undergoing any cosmetic treatments. They can assess your individual suitability for a lash lift and provide guidance based on your specific needs and concerns.

Both lash growth serums and lash conditioners have their own benefits and can be used after a lash lift treatment. The choice between the two depends on your specific goals and preferences.

Lash growth serums are specifically formulated to promote lash growth, usually containing active ingredients like peptides and vitamins that stimulate lash follicles. These serums can help to lengthen and thicken lashes over time, potentially enhancing the overall appearance of the lifted lashes. If your primary goal is to achieve longer and fuller lashes, a lash growth serum may be the better option for you.

On the other hand, lash conditioners are designed to nourish and strengthen the lashes. They often contain ingredients like proteins, botanical extracts, and vitamins that provide hydration and promote lash health. Using a lash conditioner can help prevent lash breakage, maintain lash strength, and keep the lifted lashes in good condition. If you are more concerned about maintaining the health and durability of your lifted lashes, a lash conditioner may be more suitable for you.

Ultimately, the choice between a lash growth serum and a lash conditioner depends on your personal preferences and desired outcomes. Some individuals may choose to use both products, incorporating a lash growth serum for length and a lash conditioner for strength and nourishment. It is important to choose high-quality products and follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer to ensure safe and effective use after a lash lift treatment.
