FAQ

To learn more about our eyelash extensions please refer to the frequently asked questions section below for all the information you need.

Japanese eyelash extensions offer a unique and specialized technique that aims to maximize the longevity of the extensions. While the retention of eyelash extensions can vary between individuals due to their natural lash growth cycle, our studio’s unique wrapping technique and use of fine extensions help ensure that the extensions can last as long as your lash cycle does.

On average, the natural lash growth cycle is typically around 6-8 weeks. With our careful application and high-quality products, it is possible for some lashes to last up to 2 months. This means that you may enjoy the fullness and beauty of your lash extensions for an extended period of time.

To maintain the desired look and ensure the lashes remain full throughout the lash cycle, regular top-up appointments are essential. These appointments, typically recommended every 4 weeks, allow our lash technicians to balance the extensions and fill any gaps where extensions naturally fall out. By keeping up with these regular touch-ups, you can enjoy consistent and long-lasting results.

Alternatively, if you prefer to wait until most of your lashes have fallen out, you have the option to have a new set of extensions done. Our skilled technicians will ensure that the new set seamlessly blends with your natural lashes, providing a fresh and beautiful look.

Yes, it is recommended to have a patch test for eyelash extensions, even if you have had extensions before. This test helps to determine if you may have any allergic reactions or sensitivities to the products used in the lash extensions.

Even if you have previously had extensions without any issues, it is still possible for sensitivities or allergies to develop over time. Patch tests are a precautionary measure to ensure your safety and minimize the risk of any adverse reactions.

If you are considering getting eyelash extensions for the first time, it is highly recommended to undergo a patch test at least 24-48 hours before your scheduled appointment. This allows sufficient time to observe any potential reactions and make an informed decision about proceeding with the full application.

At our studio, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our clients. We strongly recommend patch tests for all individuals, regardless of their previous experiences with eyelash extensions. It is a simple and precautionary measure that helps ensure a comfortable and safe lash application process.

At our salon, we take pride in the meticulous application of our lash extensions, which is why our process may take up to two and a half hours. This extended timeframe is necessary to ensure the utmost care and precision in our wrapping technique, which sets our lash extensions apart from regular applications. By taking the time to properly wrap each individual lash, we guarantee longevity and comfort for our clients. We believe that the extra effort invested during the application process results in stunning, long-lasting lash extensions that exceed expectations. Your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities, and we are dedicated to providing you with a lash extension experience that is both luxurious and enduring.

Japanese eyelash extensions are renowned for being one of the safest options available due to their lightness and delicate application technique. This unique approach ensures that your natural lashes are not overburdened or weighed down, promoting the health and integrity of your lashes.

The lightweight nature of Japanese eyelash extensions helps to prevent any strain or damage to your natural lashes. Unlike heavier extensions that can potentially cause tension or breakage, the gentle application of Japanese extensions ensures a comfortable and seamless experience.

In addition to their safety, there is evidence to suggest that Japanese feathering eyelash extensions can even encourage lash growth. By eliminating the need for mascara and applying extensions with care, clients can maintain the health and vitality of their natural lashes. The absence of mascara usage allows the lashes to breathe and grow without any potential clumping or chemical exposure.

To maintain the fullness and spot-on look of your lash extensions, we highly recommend scheduling a lash rebalance every 3-4 weeks, depending on your lash cycle. Lashes naturally go through a shedding process, and new lashes grow in their place. By coming in for a rebalance within this timeframe, we can ensure that any grown-out or fallen lashes are replaced, keeping your extensions looking flawless and seamless. This regular maintenance not only enhances the longevity of your lash extensions but also ensures that they continue to complement your natural lashes perfectly. Trust us to help you maintain the stunning and polished appearance of your lash extensions with our recommended 3-4 week rebalance appointments.

Alternatively, clients have the option to allow their lashes to shed completely and come in for a new set of lash extensions. This approach typically takes around 5-8 weeks, depending on the individual’s lash cycle. While this may require a longer waiting period, it can be a convenient option for those who prefer a fresh start and want to experience the full process of applying a new set of lash extensions. Our skilled technicians will ensure that your new set is carefully applied, providing you with a renewed and stunning lash look. Whether you choose to maintain your extensions with regular rebalancing appointments or opt for a new set, we are dedicated to helping you achieve the lash look you desire.

Avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours after the application. This allows the adhesive to fully bond with your natural lashes.

Be gentle when cleansing your face. Avoid rubbing or pulling on your lashes, as this can cause them to loosen or fall out prematurely. Instead, use a gentle, oil-free cleanser and lightly pat your face dry.

Avoid using oil-based products on or near your lashes. Oil can break down the adhesive and cause the extensions to fall out. This includes oil-based makeup removers, cleansers, and moisturizers. Opt for oil-free or water-based alternatives instead.

Do not use mascara on your eyelash extensions. Mascara can clump and damage the extensions, and it is also challenging to remove without causing harm.

Avoid using an eyelash curler on your extensions. The extensions are already curled, and using a curler can cause them to bend or break.

Avoid cotton wool/pads due to fiber getting stuck in between of extensions which will irritate your eyes and look messy. It is very difficult to take them out.

Be cautious with sleeping positions. Try to sleep on your back or side to avoid pressing your lashes against the pillow, which can cause them to become misshapen or fall out.

Brush your lashes daily. Gently comb through your lashes using a clean and soft mascara wand to keep them looking neat and prevent any tangling.

Remember, following these aftercare tips will help ensure the longevity and beauty of your eyelash extensions. If you have any concerns or questions, do not hesitate to reach out to your lash technician for further guidance and advice.

You can enjoy swimming with your eyelash extensions after 24 hours, once the adhesive has fully cured. It is important to give the adhesive enough time to set and bond properly to ensure the longevity and durability of your lash extensions. After this initial 24-hour period, you can confidently swim and engage in water activities without worrying about your lash extensions coming loose. However, it is still advisable to avoid excessive exposure to water, such as prolonged submersion or hot tubs, as these can potentially weaken the adhesive bond. By following these guidelines, you can enjoy your lash extensions while maintaining their beautiful appearance even during water activities.

Clients can safely resume their workout routine after 24 hours of eyelash extension application. It is important to allow the adhesive to fully cure during this initial period to ensure a secure bond between the extensions and natural lashes. After the 24-hour mark, clients can confidently engage in various physical activities, including workouts, without compromising the longevity or integrity of their lash extensions. However, it is advisable to avoid excessive rubbing or pulling of the lashes during workouts to prevent any damage. By following these guidelines, clients can enjoy their lash extensions while maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle.

It is generally recommended to avoid wearing mascara on your eyelash extensions, as it can cause clumping and damage the extensions. However, you can still wear other eye makeup products such as eyeshadow and eyeliner as long as they are oil-free and applied carefully, avoiding direct contact with the extensions. Waterproof makeup should be avoided as it might cause difficulty cleansing it off and damage your eyelash extensions together with natural lashes. Makeup has to be carefully removed at the end of the day with gentle oil free lash cleanser.

Classic eyelash extensions involve applying one individual extension to each natural lash, resulting in a natural and enhanced look.
The extensions used in the classic technique are typically thicker and heavier.
This technique is suitable for those who desire a double coated mascara look. However it might not be suitable for individuals with thin and short natural lashes as they might be too heavy.

They can be different lengths, thicknesses, taper, colour, and curl, softness. We do use ‘false mink’ eyelash extensions.

False mink eyelash extensions provide a natural, lightweight, and comfortable look while offering flexibility, durability, and customisable options for a long-lasting, enhanced lash appearance. We do not use real mink fur due to animal rights and hygiene purposes.
